CSS frameworks & UI kits

6 design systems

CSS frameworks and UI kits give you ready-made styles rather than a full component API. daisyUI and Flowbite add component classes on top of Tailwind CSS, Foundation is a long-running responsive framework for websites and HTML email, and Materialize and Material Minimal bring Material Design styling to plain HTML.

Uiverse is different again: a community library of individual UI elements in CSS and Tailwind that you can copy into a project.

Frameworks like these suit marketing sites and prototypes well. For complex applications, a component library with built-in accessibility usually saves more work.

Component classes and themes added to Tailwind CSS as a plugin.
