106 design systems

Open-source design systems publish their component code, so you can see how tokens, theming, accessibility and documentation are actually wired together. Each entry links to its repository and shows live GitHub stars, the last push and whether the repository has been archived, which tells you quickly if a project is still maintained.

Some are general-purpose libraries meant for anyone, such as shadcn/ui, MUI, Chakra UI, Mantine and Radix. Others are company systems published in the open, such as Ant Design, Fluent UI, Carbon, Primer, Elastic UI and Uber's Base Web. Company systems are tuned to one brand and product family, so they are usually better to learn from than to adopt wholesale.

Public code is not the same as a permissive license. Read the license in the repository before reusing components, and remember that typefaces, icons and logos often have separate terms.
